Model for a Day

More than ever in times like these, we need to uplift one another and empower
each other. Local designer Allison Izu is doing just that! She has long been
inspiring women to grow into their best self through clothing, body and love. 
Now she is supporting females in our community by calling on the likes of myself and others to lend our model-esque talents to her latest apparel photo shoot.

This was such a fun photo shoot!  We all indulged in getting our hair and make
up done at her Ala Moana store, and then struck a pose in front of the camera!  I went through about 15 wardrobe changes in Allison Izu apparel–all of which I loved!  My favorite was the Diamond Head shorts and even got to go home with one of the outfits I wore onset!

The highlight of the shoot was watching Allison dance behind the scenes to
Beyoncé–that gave me joy :) It was such an honor to have been included in
Allison’s efforts to uplift fellow female entrepreneurs. I’m so grateful to be able
to collaborate with other Hawaii-based designers who are working hard to make
things happen!  Collaboration plays a huge role in the success of Jules + Gem
Hawaii, and it’s always such a pleasure to work alongside local business owners
out there!
