Women-Owned Businesses We Love in March!

Happy International Women's Day!!

We hope to show our appreciation support for the incredible, self-made women who make it so easy for us to shop small. (Like our very own Lana! <3) Here are some of our favorite small local businesses that just so happen to be wahine-owned!  

LANA'S PICK: PORTS + PAWS                                                                   

This business offers essential and fun products for your pets with Hawai'i-inspired prints. Founded by local pup enthusiast, Erin, PORTS + PAWS is dedicated to offering "high quality products for you and your pup that represent a modern, authentic Hawai'i." It is also very important to Erin that she can give back to Hawai'i's dog and animal community in Hawai'i, so she lists on her About page some organizations and shelters that PORTS + PAWS supports when they can. It's amazing to know purchases made will have a greater impact on the community.

Lana says, "They have the cutest designs for pets!  I love accessorizing and that includes my pets.  Luckily one of my dogs, loves to wear clothes.  I always find a new design that my red toy poodle would look adorable in.  I can’t tell you how many bandannas I own!  😂"

SHAWNA'S PICK: Daily Whisk Matcha                                                          

 Daily Whisk Matcha is run by our dear friends at TEN TOMORROW! If you know us, you know they provide us and our customers with our primary in-store location with our biggest selection of products in their Kaimuki boutique. About a year ago, they started a little coffee and matcha shop just next door! We helped them celebrate their one-year anniversary with an exclusive Matcha Candle that you can shop in-store and online. Besides being great friends with them, we love their menu!

Shawna says, "I love to catch up with friends at Daily Whisk Matcha because they have great drinks and cozy seating. It’s always fun to try out their different seasonal drinks when it’s in stock and I never forget to grab one of their savory pastries!"

LINDSAY'S PICK: Aloha De Mele                                                                 

Aloha De Mele displays beautiful handmade art by JT Ojerio. As a self-taught artist whose talents bloomed while in recovery from an injury, she found inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounded her. Drawing brought her joy and peace, and now she's able to share it beyond her own home. Aloha De Mele offers art in many forms that include prints, wearable art, home items, and greeting cards. 

Lindsay says, "I love how beautiful and detailed her art is!  I also love how she has a mixture of pieces that are neutral or have the prettiest colors that I would love to have in every room of my house!"

KAITLIN'S PICK: Pualei Designs                                                                   

Pualei Designs offers sleek glass cups with hand drawn designs inspired by Hawai'i's flora and fauna. They can be found at local markets or customers can shop online! 

Kaitlin says, "As someone who needs a constant reminder to stay hydrated, this cup motivates me to keep refilling it! I love the sleek and trendy shape and the delicate yet sturdy designs that remind me of home. I also gave some of these away as gifts this past Christmas and my friends use them all the time as well!"
